Maddie on the Move
Maddie was a kind, fun-loving 7th grader referred to Psychology 360 in order to determine her behavioral health needs. Maddie had many friends and was involved in volleyball and a volunteer club at school. However, concerns were reported regarding inattention and impulsivity. She had exhibited attentional challenges and excess energy since elementary school, as teachers reported that Maddie tended to lose focus quickly. More recently, Maddie started working with a private tutor on a weekly basis in order to maintain her grades at school. Maddie also received some informal supports at school, such as utilizing a sit/stand desk and re-direction from teachers. However, despite these informal accommodations, Maddie continued to struggle. Her parents contacted Psychology 360 for an evaluation in order to determine how to more completely support Maddie and promote her academic success.
